Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

   By using the Convert2GIF website (convert2gif.pages.dev) or adding the Convert2GIF Discord bot to your server, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

   Convert2GIF converts images, videos, and existing GIFs into animated GIF files. We offer two ways to use the service: the web converter on this site, and the Discord bot using commands such as .gif, .help, .uptime, and .stats.

3. Prohibited Content

   You may not use Convert2GIF to convert, upload, or distribute any content that is unlawful, harassing, sexually explicit, threatening, or that infringes the rights of others. The service does not condition access on any NSFW channels; all content must be appropriate for Discord's Terms of Service.

4. Discord Bot Usage

   • Inviting the bot requires the "Manage Server" (or appropriate) permission in your Discord server.
   • The bot only processes files explicitly attached to its commands.
   • We do not read, store, or retain message content beyond what is needed to reply to a command.
   • Abusive usage, command spam, or attempts to bypass the rate limit may result in the bot being rate-limited or blocked for that server or user.

5. Rate Limits

   Both the web converter and the Discord bot enforce rate limits to protect the service. The current limits are displayed on the site and can change at any time. Attempts to circumvent these limits may result in a temporary or permanent block.

6. Availability

   The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

   To the maximum extent permitted by law, Convert2GIF is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

8. Changes

   We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
